Stonesfield is a Cotswold village known historically for its stone slate roofing tiles, mined from local quarries. The village sits on steep hills above the Evenlode valley, and the narrow lanes can be rough. We cover Stonesfield from our Charlbury and Witney routes.
On Stonesfield's steeper lanes, stop on level ground if you can, and give us the lane name or a nearby house when you call.
Stonesfield lies about 12.5 miles north-west of our Oxford base, above the Evenlode valley, with the A4095 Witney Road a short drive away. We quote 25-40 minutes to reach you and agree the price over the phone first.
Combe station is 1.7 km away and Hanborough 3.4 km, so if you come back from the train to a flat, call us and we'll meet you at the car. Wroslyn Road Industrial Estate is within reach too. Some lanes here are steep, so tell us exactly where you are and we'll plan a safe spot to work. We fit new branded tyres and balance them on site, repair punctures to BS AU 159 where possible, and offer jump starts. Combe, Freeland and North Leigh are covered too, with no call-out charge.
